Interested in just about everything, everything is relevant and everything is irrelevant depending on the context. So you give good context? I would love to meet people with senses of humor, and by that I mean perspective. Not "ooh, that guy got kicked in the crotch, haha" kinda humor, but the type of person that looks at the place we live and thinks new thoughts about it where they are not the heroes of the piece. The whole shebang is the piece and we mostly can amuse ourselves while we're here."Do you mean funny 'haha' or funny 'uhoh'?"- Animaniacs
Pretty much everything. I had a boyfriend once who played me country music on his guitar, so even that. I haven't, yet, though, found much use for songs about drugs, bitches, hos, power and ego other than to dance to and hum over. Favorites are Barenaked Ladies, Indigo Girls, Oingo Boingo are solid favorites.
I like stuff that tries new things. I'm a fan of the low budget horror movie because they tend to be funny and scary and try harder than the average film that wants to teach you something when mostly they're preaching and want you to agree. Give me something to think about, something to laugh about and someone to like or admire. Stop trying to teach me anything unless that just happens naturally. Big favorites: The Lion In Winter, My Dinner With Andre, Army of Darkness, Shaun Of The Dead.
HOUSE. Hugh Laurie is a God.
Soft spot in my heart for some of my old favorite romances written by people with brains - give me five books for a desert island and they would be "The Windflower" by Sharon and Tom Curtis writing as Laura London, "Nothing Special" by Charlotte Joko Beck, "The Tao Te Ching" by Lao Tzu, "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran and Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander"
