About Me

MANUFOU LIAIGA-ANOA'I
I am a strong and independent Samoan woman who is always humbled by the greatness of our rich heritage and culture. As a San Francisco Native I am always proud to represent the Golden Gate City by the Bay. I come from a "LARGE FAMILY" with roots in both Samoa's. My late father, Pepine Lafulafu Liaiga Mulitauaopele (R.I.P.) and my dearest mother, Papali'i Manufou Fonoti Liaiga blessed me with a great life. I have too many brothers and sisters from two families. My first is, Reynold M. Ah Soon (RIP brother), Papali'i Fatu Ah Soon, Wendy M. Ah Soon, Lupe Liaiga-Auimatagi, Susana Liaiga-Pulusian and Selau Liaiga. Now, my Malepeai brothers and sisters are: Tiute Malepeai-To'oto'o, Pepine Malepeai, Galovavelealofa Malepeai, Ali'ioaiga Malepeai (R.I.P.), Fa'aofia Malepeai (R.I.P.), Aitofi Malepeai-Vaioli, Hannah L. Malepeai (R.I.P.), Ailao Tofaeono, Puaseisei Malepeai-Auelua, Theresa Malepeai (R.I.P.), Lafulafu Malepeai-Su'esu'e Lutu, Jermar Malepeai and Falemar Malepeai. Yes, just too too many famareee. So if your last name is Liaiga, Mulitauaopele, Galea'i, Malepeai, Tofaeono, Meleisea, Papali'i...then we're probably related and of course anyone connected to my hubby's aiga the Anoa'is, Ripley's, Nakiso's, Amituana'is and Niuatoa's.
I love music and for those who know me - this is my "First Love." I currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, but have had the opportunity to call American Samoa my "other home".
I aspire to touch people's lives with the beautiful Polynesian Samoan spirit of love, compassion and humility that has been instilled in me by those who have touched my life, specifically my parents, my sisters & brothers, my best friend "Muagututi'a Ryan Tumua Anoa'i and my children - Heavenley-Siniva, Hamilton-Samasoni, Hiramoreno-Seali'ioaiga, my angel in Heaven -- "Hope Sinaimoana" and my youngest Harmony-Sitama'ita'ioManufou....
I love politics and grassroots community advocacy. I particularly love "Women Studies" because I truly believe that women have a special intuition, conviction and compassion to make an impact in the political arena. I often find myself advocating for those who have been disenfranchised with local government and those whose voices are never heard.
It is my hope that you visit my site with love and respect. Please enjoy as I share a lil' piece of me....Fa'afetai - Soifua & Manuia
