About Me

UNITED is exactly what they are. They’re friends who came together for the passion of the vibrant Punjabi culture. They joined together to pursue this passion in 2005 to not only promote bhangra but also be positive role models in the community. They have all come from many high calibre teams from around Vancouver. In a short period, UNITED has captured audiences all over North America with their energy and music and left them wanting more. In 2007 they were the first North American Bhangra team to introduce a live sarangi player into their routines. They have worked hard to take Bhangra mainstream and have even performed in front of a crowd of thousands at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival.
