The Best in Horror, Suspense, and Drama

About Me

The story takes place in the once peaceful town of Little Park, South Jersey, which has been devastated by an incident similar to the Phenomenal Week of 1909. During the course of seven days, thousands of people reported seeing the Jersey Devil throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. In this instance, the circumstances are far more deadly. There have been hundreds of sightings and six unsolved, ritualistic murders - all within the Little Park area. The police department relies upon the assistance of its own Detective Marcel Brown and the "gem" of a neighboring police department, Aya Becker. Although the citizens fear that their town is being stalked by the Jersey Devil, Aya and Marcel realize that the murderer(s) are faking the sightings to aide their cause. A lethal cause which Aya soon learns involves her in a way she never thought possible...
(As his biography says in the back of Six Faces:)
Ryan Callaway was born in a small town in South Jersey. From an early age, his family and friends experienced his creativity, imagination, and intelligence. He began writing comics, short stories and poems around the time he started first grade. His talent grew over the years, his teachers frequently read his books to his classmates, all of whom became his first fans. Callaway honed his talent over the next few years by writing fan fiction novels based on older horror and science fiction movies(Resident Evil, Jurassic Park, Predator) before later completing several original, full-length novels. Six Faces is his first published novel but he's currently working on his second book, which is expected to be on shelves by October of 2006. (Page created by Miyoshi - a friend and assistant)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Readers of all types. Ryan Callaway's novels aren't considered to be strictly horror, as many people who generally read romance and drama have also taken a liking to Six Faces, and his overall style. Ryan can be personally emailed through here (he'll answer :) ) or through his website at

Possible Character Models are also welcome:

Ryan Callaway is constantly coming up with new ways to entertain his readers. To this end, he has created a soundtrack to Six Faces to cover the audio side of it, and Character Modeling for the visual. Basically, he finds real-life people to represent the image of the main characters in his novels. Some of them are actresses and models, and others are friends. As you will see, some pictures were taken specifically for scenes in the book, and one character model will actually be featured on the cover of a future novel. The models are on the Character Page of the Six Faces website, as well as the videos (still pictures with music added).

"I mainly use these methods to entertain readers who are reminiscing after finishing the book, and for a greater effect. If someone doesn't have the book or enough light to read a favorite section, then they have the option of popping in the soundtrack and going over it in their minds. I'm careful not to give too much, though, because the imagination is the key with reading. I like to think that I show the nightmare, and shape it, but leave the filling in to the readers' imagination. Your own mind can create more hideous monsters than any author ever could."

Music:

The Six Faces Original Soundtrack

Movies:

"Jeepers Creepers - my favorite movie in general - I think it did a great job of combining horror with drama, and had the biggest effect on me that any movie ever has.

Batman Begins - my other favorite movie, I loved it. Pretty much had everything that a great movie should. Can't say enough about it.

Revenge of the Ninja - some bad acting, but the plot was great and I can watch it a million times.

The Terminator Films

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

The first two Batman movies, and also Batman: Mask of the Phantasm"

Television:

"King of the Hill, Law and Order, Kojak, Late Night with Conan O' Brien, and KBS Korean Dramas. They've been a big influence on my writing as - unlike American Soap Operas - they're really deep and touching. Subtitles can be a pain to read sometimes but I got over it."
