I like spending time at home because I love it here. It's my own little haven. When I go out, I like to listen to live bands or sometimes "get my goth on" at the Castle in Ybor City. I also enjoy going to the movies, out for dinner and drinks with friends and sometimes go to the Hard Rock Casino/Floyd's in Tampa. I love a lot of different kinds of music and used to play lead guitar in a metal band. I still play a little, but not too often. Since playing music doesn't consume my entire life anymore, I have the time to persue plenty of other things.
I like being creative: painting, making jewelry, working on stained glass projects, sewing and I'm just starting to get into costuming a bit. I also enjoy home improvements and my house is a work in progress. I have done nearly all the tile work inside and once the floors are finished I have even more plans...BWAHAHAHA!!
I love sci-fi and go to Dragoncon every year. This March I will also be attending Megacon in Orlando for the 2nd time, the "Wrath Of Con" in Panama City, FL in May, and if the Lords of Kobol see fit, I may even get to ComicCon this year! (As long as Jose Cuervo comes along for the flight!) ;)
I also love being outdoors, especially in my backyard "oasis". I like growing veggies and herbs as well as succulents, flowering and foliage plants. I was a landscaper for over 10 years and was in the ornamental horticulture program at a local community college for a while, so it's no wonder that I love that stuff.
I also love going on cruises and have taken one in November for the past 4 years. This year's cruise went to Calica, Mexico and Grand Cayman Island. Wooooo!
