OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN

Why don't we get the hell out of this place?

About Me

Portland Oregon is well known for breeding boldly innovative and relevant music. Oh Captain, My Captain, (OCMC) embraces this tradition and fuses meaningful elements of modern rock and roll with characteristics of groundbreaking bands such as Queen, Black Sabbath and the Kinks.
Scheduled for release in late June 08 under the flag of Portland's Bladen County Records, "RECKLESSLY WE SPLIT THE SEA" sets a whole new precedent for fine rock and roll. Beautiful vocal melodies over big guitars with a precise and powerful rhythm section. Ten epic tales of prize fighters, travelers, scoundrels, cheaters and liars.
Press for OCMC:
From the Willamette Week:
“…four-piece powerhouse Oh Captain, My Captain is [Bladen County Records] secret weapon. Evoking three different branches of the pop family tree--The Beatles, Queen and Radiohead--Oh Captain, My Captain offers distinct vocals and a gripping live show.”
From the Musicfest NW Guide 2007
“…Kinks-ian rock that ranges from upbeat ‘n’ choppy to downright sweet.”
