Papa Dupes Clothing

About Me

Papa Dupes clothing was started in 2007 by Sheldon Palmer, a young entrepreneur and t-shirt fan. I had noticed that it would be a long period to wait for the new designs from the top t-shirt providing companies, and when the shirts do come, the designs were repetitive and lacked diversity and creativity not to mention costly. I then decided that I could design my own t-shirts that were more creative and on a more diverse scale. I wanted to do something that was cool and connected to the street in a urban sense, hence the name Papa Dupes. The name Papa Dupes is deep rooted in our Jamaican culture. The word Papa in street terms suggest someone who is respected and looked up to as you would to your father if you had one. The word Dupes is not a new word in the Jamaican urban culture, many top dance hall artists such as Super Cat in the 80's, Damian Junior gong Marley in the late 90's and most recenty Buju Banton in the 2006 have used this slang(Dupes) to refer to street Dons. I have decided to combine these two terms to coin the phrase Papa Dupes. The Papa Dupes brand is relevant to both male and female because it has this great sexy appeal and it looks as great on women as it does on men. Since we have started we have recieved riveting reviews and great reponse from both male and female patrons and onlookers. We intend to put forward cuting edge graphic designs that are appealing to both male and female. We hope to see the Company grow to national and multinational sucess in the future, thanks for your support.
