Entaprize started about 7 yrs ago when it was jus 3 of us. (PHENOM, T HUBB, and B THUG) {and then linked up with AJT,my cuzin Joeydunz and KEYZ and NENO BROWN when we moved to DA ROE IN THA VS1 & 2} Jus for tha love of makin music, we wrote and recorded lyrics to whateva instrumental tapes we got our hands on and got in trouble everytime moms n pops found tha finished product...lol. They wud throw it all away nd tell us, "Stop makin them cuss tapes!" Of course, we cudn stop, but they definitely slowed us down by throwin away everythang we worked so hard to create. But we bounced right back everytime. It was a constant struggle, and it only made us wanna get better, so consequently, we worked harder. Nuttin was handed to us. From middle school, up into high school, we perfected our craft to tha point where our closest friends felt we should publicly display our talent. So at Forest Hills High School in Marshville, NC., we did our first public performance during a after-school Black History program. From then on, there was no stoppin us. Even though the program limited us to rappin about black history, we put our all into this annual occasion since at our first performance, our classmates considered us tha highlight of tha show. AJT was also well-known at FH for his ability to sing and rap, among many other things, and was grouped together wit tha 3 of us on our second annual performance. Every since then, we've been inseparable. Not much has changed since those days except for two major things....(1) We went from using cassettes and tape recorders to using cd's and computers. To this day, we still haven't managed to get in any studio. We use music production programs and cheap computer mics to make all our songs. (2) We no longer go to tha same school or even live in tha same city for that matter. But we run into each other from time to time, mainly aroun holidays. Thas pretty much tha only chance we really get to create music. I used to look at these two factors as major set backs...but to a certain extent, I see think its tha essence of who we r now. (We never really used high tech studio equipment, so we dont really expect radio play due to tha lack of "professional quality" in our sound. So consequently, we see no need in editing any lyrics. Thas why we speak so freely and dont mind usin profanity (since we mostly talk about our actual life experiences, we simply look at it as artistic expression). Of course, we not gettin paid for it, so its obvious that our only motivation is that we love makin music. Plus, since we no longer live as close as we used to, we all lead different lifestyles. So when we do collaborate, we bring all of our different perspectives and life experiences to tha table. Since we not really on that "professional level" yet, we have no audience outside of relatives and friends. Although we have large families and hundreds of friends, the props they give us are biased but still appreciated. I've burned hundreds of cd's to give to anybody that requested'em. I do it at no charge. Mainly becuz I feel that tha best way to b known, is thru sumbody thas willin to sho u luv nd support. (meanin tha more they like it, the more likely they are to introduce it to sumbody else that might like it too.) So many years, we've made some real good music that so many people will never get a chance to hear. More than anything else, we jus wanna b heard. So tha true purpose of this website is to reach out and find our fan base. We pride ourselves in bein creative, realistic, and genuine in everythang we do. We take our time and perfect every detail of our music to tha best of our ability (even if it goes unnoticed). We are humble and appreciate any form of constructive criticism. As we continue to create, we take advantage of every opportunity we get to better ourselves. We been preparin for our chance for a long time, and when it comes, I guarantee we'll make history. But for right now, We jus want tha world to hear us out....and hopefully, u love and enjoy our music jus as much as we do (if not more)!
