There is no glory in war, there's only suffering in war.

About Me

[and think you command perfect use of English]:

My Interests

“I would not lead you out if I could; for if you could be led out, you could be led back again. I would have you make up your minds there is nothing that you cannot do for yourselves.” - EVD, 18DEC05

Heroes of the State
Sen. Russ Feingold [D] - Voting record includes NAYs to H.J. Resolution 114, USA PATRIOT Act, NAFTA, and DOMA; introduced resolutions to censure the President, single-payer health care, and campaign finance and government spending reforms.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich [D] - Legislative record includes introducing H Res 333, NAYs to H.J. Res. 114, S. 333, AUMF; supports the idea to move to a humane single-payer health care model, guaranteed quality education for all, including FREE pre-kindergarten and college, abolishing capital punishment, creation of a cabinet-level "Department of Peace", and legalising same-sex marriage, among other things.

*salutes*

“You might however consider whether you should not unfold as a background the great privilege of habeas corpus ... The power of the executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious, and the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist.” - WLSC, 21NOV43

"It is true that much of the intelligence (on ??????) turned out to be wrong." - GWB, 14DEC05

Enemies of the State
Führer George Walker Bush [R] - Sent us to die for purposes of oil and war profiteering. Suspended rights to Habeas corpus, much like another infamous western leader of the past one hundred years. Cannot properly enunciate nuclear.

V.F. Dick [R] - Five (5) deferments during the Vietnam War yet now believes vehemently in going to war. Legislative record included voting against creation of the Department of Education, against funding Head Start, against making MLK's birthday a national holiday, against calling for Mandela's release from prison, and against sanctioning South Africa [apartheid].

Sen. Ted Stevens [R] - Threatened to resign if the federal earmark [pork] for unneeded Alaskan bridges was sent to rebuild Louisiana after the Katrina disaster. And "series of tubes."

Rep. Don Young [R] - "I stuffed [the bill] like a turkey, [!]" on earmarking the federal highway and mass transit bill with Alaska's own Golden Gate-sized bridge to Gravina Island (pop. 50). Wasted taxpayer money is always a laudatory matter to some. Look up "Bridge to Nowhere."

I'd like to meet:
