At the age of 15 Louis Isaac and Julian Bel-Bachir began busking, where they learnt their craft for the people and with the people, sitting amongst the audience they played for. As teenagers this environment heavily influenced their music. Strengthened by experience the two became known around the city for their own brand of up-beat street-level reggae, winning local busking competitions in Bondi Junction, Manly, and Parramatta. Now with Teiwi Richards (lead guitar) and his son Jaycie Richards (Bass), Steel Skin and Wood is moving off the streets and onto the stage.
