JefferyC Says Help Stop Child Abuse

My name is Jeffery C Jordan. I am 35 years old and I am a college graduate. I was abused as a child and I want to find a way to help people that have been abused, are being abused and to help prevent other children from being abused. This is no easy task, and to be honest I am not sure how to go about it. I put my number out for people that are in need of someone to listen so that they can call me and I will listen. I have helped a few children get out of an abusiv situation.
I also am interested in helping women that have been abused. I like to give advice and impart my knowledge onto others in the hopes of helping them.
I try to give to charities. I sell T-Shirts to try to raise money to donate in the fight against abuse. I try to donate toys and books to children that are in shelters or just don't have things.
I am the kinda person that would give my life to help someone in need, and right now what i want the most is to do my part to help fight abuse in all its forms.
So many people use being abused as a crutch, and I did for a long long time. But now i want to use my experiences to fight it, to raise awareness of it and to just help people deal with their own experiences. Sometime all someone needs is someone to sit and listen to their problems and let them know they understand and that they aren't alone and that it ISN'T their fault. I want to be that person.
I am not a perfect person. I don't pretend to be. Sometimes i say things I shouldn't, do things I shouldn't, and don't follow through on my promises. But who doesn't do this.
I like to sing songs on the internet and use that as a means to cheer people up. Some people laugh with me and others laugh at me, but the point is that they are laughing. And laughter is the key to happiness. I also like to do video blogs and tell about my day, my week, and my life and feelings. It isn't always easy.
I am very obese and not the most healthy person. I Know I need to loose weight and get in shape, but that isn't as easy as it seems. I am a single person. I have loved and I have lost. I believe in God. I use to not be so sure about that, but from my experiences on myspace, youtube and facebook my faith has been restored. I Have made some really great friends online. I Have met some really important people and had the chance to affect so many people.
I enjoy being around people. I love my family and friends.
