Born as Boipelo Booi and my stage name is Dj Boipelo.I am originaly from Kimberley.i Started Playing in 2003.i play Deep House,Drum & Bass,Vocal,Soulful,and bit of Electro.
Started off by going to a Dj'ing school in Jo'burg,because no -one was willing to teach me then.I was very serious about deejaying that is why i decided to go to a school and get a Certificate for it as well.I gained a lot of experience from playing at pubs,clubs,private gigs,fresher's bashes etc.
I was inspired by the like s of Vinny Da Vinci,Christos and Kanunu & Positive-K.Way back around 1999 while studying in Pretoria,when Club Ellesse and Carnalita were the most rocking clubs ever.For 5 years i was listening to them playing at those clubs and i was unaware that i was learning something from them indirectly.The art of understanding beautiful Deep House music.They brought me closer to my dream.
I have been featured on Shows like The O Zone and Oboma on Channel o.I have also played on a music show called One on SABC 1.I play every now and then on Metro,I have also played on the Avenue which is Glen and Unathi's show.I have been a guest Dj on Jozi-fm,Y-fm and Khaya-fm.
I have played alongside Dj Christos,Vinny da Vinci,Glen Lewis,Dj Fresh,Dj Kanunu,Dj Mbuso,Dj Waxxy Dj China,DJ Claude,Euphonik.
I have played at Milly in Pimville,The O Zone, House 22 in Pta Taliban,Cherry Jam,Jack Budha,Obza's Blueroom in Pta,Corner Junction,The Rock in Soweto,Back Room in Pimville. I have also played in towns like Phalaborwa,Klerksdorp,Bloemfonten,Kimberly,Welkom,Polokwane, Eastern Cape And in Swaziland at the Flying Club,Why not in 2005 & Club 747.I have also played in Botswana at News Cafe for the Shemix Festival.
I was featured on Movie called Rough in 2007.I play the part of Dj at a party scene.This is the highlight of my carrer as a Dj,it was exciting and it was also nothing that i ever thought i wud do.
