I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am 26 years old, and I've definitely had a life like no other. It hasn't all been pleasant, yet I am always able to find things to be truly thankful for. You can tell by my page I have a darker side that I'm not afraid to show. I've been blessed with a keen ability to find beauty in the dark, and laughter in the middle of destruction. I have been an Army MP for a little over 7 years, and don't regret joining the military at all. I love cats and very large dogs, anything Hello Kitty, cool cell phones, spicy Asian food, and exercise...I'm on Myspace just to keep in touch with friends, and maybe make some more good ones here and there.

My Interests

Military stuff is pretty much my main priority. I play the violin and piano, and am a personal fitness trainer (certified through ISSA). I run competitively, hike, swim, work out at the gym, and have even tried my hand at boxing. I must admit I love girly stuff like clothes and makeup (though somewhat on the eccentric, shocking side), and have a soft spot in my heart for all cute and furry animals!

I'd like to meet:

People around my own age, in the military

Music:

Where do I start? I could not live without music, and my taste in music is quite unique. I really do like punk, but I often listen to odd artists that many people haven't seemed to have heard of. For example, there's the classical-goth-metal electric violinist/singer Emilie Autumn, and the wacky Birthday Massacre band. There's New Found Glory, Angels and Airwaves, Sirenia, Rammstein, Nox Arcana, and The Ataris. Vanessa Carlton and Enya are also beautiful in their own way.

Movies:

Let me just rattle off the ones that come to mind first as being beautiful and breathtaking: Blood and Chocolate, 300, Hannibal Rising, The Invisible, The Narnia movie, Lord of the Rings, Daredevil, Elektra, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Letters from Iwo Jima... Then there are the fun, feel-good ones: Madagascar, Napolean Dynamite, the Shrek series, Surf's Up, Eight Below...

Television:

I don't watch much of it.

Books:

I'm not a deep reader. I like magazines and newspapers! But here's a few I'd recommend to anyone: Chronicles of Narnia series, The Giver, A Tail of Two Cities, and Alpha Centauri.

Heroes:

My heroes are my friends and fellow soldiers.
