I was born in a little village in the middle of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, my mum couldn't keep me in till the city, so they had to stop there, in General Madariaga, land of gauchos, and let me out.At age 5, I moved to Spain along with my family and stayed in Zaragoza, where I started learning guitar at 16, after years of willing to do music.I got my first guitar chords and stuff from Israel tubilleja, and tried to learn here an there from different musicians and teachers.I studied Jazz and music theory and all that in Zaragoza and a bit in Barcelona, where I got the chance to watch amazing Jam sessions and I started to understand the real meaning of playing music.
Also, I used to play Jazz in Jam sessions and gigs, worked as guitarist/bassist in a popular/dance music band for five years and led a Gipsy Jazz Band.At the same time I started studying Flamenco by myself and later got some lessons with Nacho Estevez, (Zaragoza) and got really interested in this music, and the possibility of fussion and expansion of my creative vision.I moved to London in April 2005, and started busking and playing some gigs.
One month later, I met Heidi Joubert in the South Bank and started playing with her, until now!We played as a Jazz/Latin/Pop duet for a year, and in the summer of 2006 we started Fernando's Kitchen, bringing Bass and saxophone and beginning to shape the sound I was looking for. We've been playing all kinds of gigs and had all kind of musicians playing with us, building a repertoire of original music and classics of the latin and spanish music, which we recorded in August 2007 with Marco Shcnabl.1000 copies of that recording have been sold so far. Not Bad!!!Currently, I'm busy composing for Fernando's Kitchen's first entirely original work, which we'll be recording very soon...
