I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm Alex. I'm an English, Film and Theatre graduate. I enjoy Dr. Pepper and I like to make funny sounds with my throat. I also like complaining about things for no good reason under my pseudonym Cristophe U. Merrington-Head. His frequently alliterative outbursts can be found on my blog.
Where permitted, my good friends allow me to perform vocal contortions over their music, which generally ruins their talented hard work.
Exhibit A: Unnamed Main Band Started off singing like an emo boi, then perhaps a bit like Maynard impersonating Amy Lee. Nowadays I prefer the Brit re-incarnation of Vlad Drac. Oh, and I think we may have gone industrial. Mainly because drummers are hard to find!
Exhibit B: Bungle Jr. Emulating Patton for the world's first, and only, Mr. Bungle tribute band. Features collected members of White Rain, sister band Hunger for the Crash and homeless people dragged from the gutter to play saxophone. Go to www.myspace.com/bunglejnr for further hemorrhaging.
Exhibit C: Shatner's Bassoon. Acoustic, with a 'post-rock meets Tex Avery' flavour. Mmmm.
Exhibit D: Raccoon City Police Department The as-yet-incomplete mashing of minds between myself and uni comrade John Lynch. Experimental improv toy-fusion funkfuck. As soon s we work out what that means, we'll write some music.
I'm also helming (when I can find the time or even begin to act constructively) a vocal-only, electronica project. As you can probably gather, I like vocals. Which is a good thing really, given that I pretty much suck at everything else! Nyum Nyum.
