About Me

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

I'm a romance writer and I love Edwardian times, hence the background. People and relationships have always fascinated me and about two years ago, I told myself, "Alright, writing ain't gonna get done unless I do it." Of course I really screwed up with the first attempt to write my time travel. This was not time wasted though as I learned a lot, thanks to the help from my crit group. Now after being taught more of the craft, writing a few short stories and taking a few classes I'm starting my first novel... again... for the fiftieth time. Greatness takes time, yes? Quarry the stone to make a beautiful work of art.You may wonder why I have such a frilly background, then the goth vamp girl. Well, I write paranormal romance-- I build new worlds, make up my own rules and I just have a great time being the Goddess of my world. Vamp girl is a lot like me... pretty but kind of dangerous.

My Interests

Writing, no brainer. I'm in the process of losing weight so fitness and eating well are subjects I study up on. I love music, all kinds... really. And, uh, I love to read; just give me a good story.

I'd like to meet:

Stephen King, I'd ask him if the voices in his head bother him too. Of course I'd like to meet other big name authors and get copies of my books signed. You know what though? I don't do the hero worship thing, so this isn't the question for me.

Music:

My tastes run from Coldplay to Korn from Nightwish to Flogging Molly. I love my Pandora stations, I've found so many great groups with this free internet radio.

Movies:

All the Pirate movies, I just love Orlando Bloom... it's those piercing eyes that give me the shivers. Loved Music and Lyrics but then again, I like Drew Barrymore (not for the same reason I like Orlando), my sexual preference is men) Drew and I are the same age, just months apart and when she was going through her hell at fourteen, I was right there with her with my own problems. Those years are tough, I wouldn't want to go through them again for anything.

Television:

Futurama, Family Guy and Simpsons. Yeah, animated to keep my attention...me likey the pretty colors. I liked the premises in Charmed also, I just don't have time to sit down and watch an hour show. Does it even run anymore? TiVo is my best friend.

Books:

I'm reading Writing Dialogue by Tom Chiarella. I highly recommend this book, not only does the author teach, he entertains.

Heroes:

My son. Seriously. This nine year old boy can go into a crowd and make friends with anyone. If they don't like him, he just shrugs it off. I wanna be like him when I grow up. :)

Misheard Lyrics

I listen to a lot of music, so it's not surprising I mishear a lot of lyrics. Thank the powers that be for Google as I can rectify this situation. For example, Coldplay "Clocks", the lyrics go: The cl...

Writing

Hi, I'm nosey. Writers, how much do you write in a day? I'm proud if I get a page in... that's about all I have time for. But if I'm faithful in doing one page a day, at the end of the year I'll ...

Chair Spread

What do you do to prevent chair spread? You know what I mean-- as you spend time in the chair, your butt gets bigger. I've had eDiets help me with this, they've reprogrammed my eating plan and I've in...
