I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a pretty superfly 20 year old girl from Mississippi. I stay in the dorms at MGCCC's Perkinston Campus on weekdays, and on weekends come back home to the country life again. It's a small rural nothing town, and I really can't wait to leave.
I'm a Journalism major, prooobably going into Broadcast Journalism. I'm also kinda interested in radio and/or film. By next Spring or Fall, I'll transfer to SUNY [State University of New York], uptown Albany campus, and that's all the future planning I care to do for now haha.
My name is Rach, not Rachel. Don't call me that, homeskillet. Call me Rachel and I'll hate you forever! Or maybe not. It's probably the best way to get my attention, other than waving money in my face. Or saying, "hey, how tall are you?"
To list some faves that no one cares anything about:
Color: Green [then Red and Yellow]
Number: C'mooon Lucky 7
Season: Summer/Autumn
Music Genre: Classic Rock/Funk
Movie Genre: Action/Adventure
Local Radio Station: Z 106.7 "Vicksburg/Jackson's Classic Rock - Rock That Really Freakin' Rocks" - to listen live, Click here
Car: Well, the dream car is a Yellow Ferrari. Since childhood. Oooh, baby...
Flavor: Strawberry, White Wine
Smell: Cotton Candy, Irish Spring Men's Body Wash, Coconut
Ninja Turtle: Oh dude, Michelangelo is my boyfriend.
I thoroughly enjoy being random and free spirited and a bit on the obnoxious side. So sorry about that last one. It simply can't be helped.
I live in the deep south, and don't say "y'all". Guess I'm kinda special like that.
I'm pretty calm and laid back, yet happy-go-lucky, spontaneous and easily amused at the same time. I laugh at pretty much everything. Some might call me "whimsical" and "like a little ray of sunshine"...scientists are still trying to determine whether that means I cause cancer or that I spread warmth and joy.
I have an obsession with fairy tales and fantasy - especially of the medieval sort. Knights, Ninjas, Pirates. Anything in that general sanctum of nerdiness.
My heritage is Irish (mostly), German, and Native American Indian. Or just, "white girl", whichev'.
I'm an outdoors-y nature kind of a person.
I love surprises.
I always appreciate a good sarcastic joke.
I'm a game geek. I like to get my video game on.
I like things that make you laugh and think, "Hmmm...!"
I love music very much. Well, who doesn't? But it's such an awesome way of expression, it lets you see what another person is thinking and feeling. That's what music does. It makes you feel.
I like comic books. Used to collect some Marvel and DC and others. Fun stuff.
I'm literally OCD on skin and hair care products, and smell-good-goodies. And sunblock. I plan on looking 20 at 45, best believe.
I love hilarious, outgoing people, maybe even a little bit on the crazy side, kindasorta like me, but I love the challenge of getting to know a quiet, solitary person just the same. They just make you wonder, ooo...
One of my worst fears is drowning. Oh, and tickling. If you tickle me, I can't be held responsible for any injuries.
I play guitar, and used to play trumpet, piano, and drums. And was on drumline in marching band. Ahh, good and bad times... Uninteresting factoid: I named the guitar "Angel Eyes", ala Lee Van Cleef from The 'Good, The Bad, and The Ugly'. Or was it 'For a Few Dollars More'? Eh, one of those.
I recently [well, 'bout a year ago] got into MLB. I like the Boston Red Sox...which is funny, considering I started out always disliking the NY Yankees because they were too 'perfect' and arrogant, it seemed? Nobody wants to watch a game, knowing a team will 'always win'. Atleast not me. But then I just started watching Sox games every now and then. And I've always rooted for the underdog.
One of my goals in life is to be in a hilariously bad B movie, preferably with zombies. It would be embarassing as well as equally something to be proud of.
I still wish I was a Power Ranger, more specifically, the Pink Ranger, such as on that wonderful fateful Halloween night back in '96. That would be so freakin' cool. Wailin' on Putty's, mackin' on the Green/White Ranger. Awww, yeah.
Why are you still reading this? You must have a lot of patience.
If you message or add me, it's likely that I'll message/add you back. I get along with most people - I'm laid back like that. Unless you're a crass pervert. Then you'll proceed to creep me right the Hell out, mister.
