About Me

Myspace Graphics
Myspace LayoutsI am a bohemian spirit in a city girl package. I don't believe in confining myself to the limits of race, nationality, gender, class, or tradition. I'm equally comfortable talking sh*t with my aunties in India and cooking up some mean upma and doing my morning yoga as I am with hustling on the streets of Dakar and doing the couper decaler in a seedy club in Conakry. I love dancing salsa and cha cha with the old Cubanos as much as I do ranting and raving about the evils of the Bush administration and its neo-colonial imperialist policies with cerebral policy wonks. I go where my spirit takes me. Under the Indian system of astrology, I'm said to be ruled by the planet Jupiter, which symbolizes exploration and the quest for answers, even if it means travelling all over the globe to find them. I guess this makes sense, because I have been extremely mobile for the past few years! As of April 2006, my new home has been Paris. It's a beautiful city and I've been enjoying exploring it. I LOVE having visitors, hint hint hint!
