The story of rapper/songwriter Vada (vay-duh) would be viewed as far from ordinary and admirable to the average reader. Vada has grown up along one of the fiercest streets in America in South Central, Los Angeles, California. Growing up surrounded by gangs, violence, drugs & untraceable amounts of abuse, Vada has seen a lot of things; and the only way to survive that and still be sane, is to have a great amount of mental toughness. This mental toughness that he has established and maintained is dramatically noticed in music writings and song selection. Not only does he write about his hardships growing up in the inner Los Angeles ghetto, he also speaks upon the police violence and government negligence that they display to people of poor incomes each and every year. His heart warmth and deep desire to make a change is also unnoted. When it comes to song selection and concepts, Vada would have to be viewed as head above all with concepts touching unthinkable limits and bases. Not to give away too much information on things (music) to come… just know that regardless of how many times you are warned… you will be shocked. Creativity is deep within this the 19 year old frame of Vada. His first street single “Westside†doesn’t really touch the limits of creativity that he exhibits; it just gets to the point and allows you to see where he grew up. Within the numerous functions that Vada does, he also does his own production and writes R&B. There will be several Rhythm & Blues projects for you to hear and be delighted by in the near future. While giving a brief summary of Vada’s life, you get the feel the feel that Vada did not come up easy. And this is before you get to the part of his personal life. Such as never having a father, having a severe and sour relationship with his mother, and being 19 and juggling working, learning and music… all while trying to provide for his newborn daughter. Vada has songs displaying his emotional distraught towards his father. In an unreleased and copy written track called “Talk 2 Father,†Vada has a conversation with his dad whom killed himself. Vada always wondered why his dad would kill himself even though he knew he had child, so he uses his creativity to conduct a 5 minute well detailed conversation/music piece. Another note of creativity would be a song selection called “Virginia Tech.†In this record he enters the mind of the shooter in a 76 bar melee. Vada has never been shy of displaying his emotions; whether it be anger, happiness or deep depression. While going through a deep depression and feeling as if he has no one to talk to, he wrote perhaps the longest, emotional/emotionless song ever in “Baarrzz.†This song is 400 bars long with no breaks (18 minutes, 37 seconds to be exact). Vada truly relies on the pen to let out his emotions and thoughts.Though Vada has seen a lot of trauma, he always has refused to let that keep him down. As of right now, Vada is scheduling several performances that you will be informed of and working on recording music non-stop. His myspace pages and bios are currently under construction, but his material will always be enough to understand the point.
