Micall Parknsun (Hip-Hop)
Micall Parknsun has been working as an emcee and producer for many years now. The history starts in North West London where he formed two halves. The duo worked over the following years on many tracks, the most notable being "Freedom Fighterz" which featured Klashnekoff, Kyza and Jehst and was produced by Parke. During this time an allegiance was formed with Kyza of Terra Firma notoriety as the North West Collabo. The partnership of Two Halves drew to a close in 2003 and after a meeting with LG, it was decided that a single would be released by him featuring the tracks "Tha Shit!" and "Da Struggle". This dropped in July 2004 and received excellent press. Parke's relationship developed with Jehst and as well as providing regular tour support (including spots at the Jazz Cafe and supporting Goldie Looking Chain in Brighton) they recorded a glut of tracks together.
Dubbledge (Hip-Hop)
Dubbledge’s music brings some much needed politics and strong concepts back into Hip Hop, he is closely affiliated with the Foreign Beggars
crew, has performed shows all over the country. After last appearing on Braintax’s latest album ‘Panorama’ and on the single and in the video for the track ‘Anti-Grey’, his debut album ‘The Richest Man in Babylon’ was released October 2007 on Low Life Records. Dubbledge’s solo career has seen him work with the likes of DJ LG, Scratch Perverts, DJ Vadim, Ghost, Dag Nabbit (Foreign Beggars), Jabba Tha Kut (Jeep Beat Collective), Ghosttown and many others and he has also received much love on the radio.
Sini (Grime)
Part of West London group Sounds Vain which was founded in 2004. Not your average grime artist, Sini is dedicated to voicing inspirational street politics whilst preaching only what he practises or what he has experienced. References to overt violence, straps and shanks are kept to a minimum. Before his entry into the Grime scene lyricist Sini first showcased his musical talent in the Drum and Bass scene as a DJ, collaborating with MC Skandal and the One Trak Mind crew. Despite the different musical influences, Sini made a smooth transition into the grime scene by developing his skills on live sets, then producing the goods in the studio. With a wide West London fan base Sini is set to take the UK by storm.
Lashana (R&B)
From the tender age of seven, Lashana began to showcase her passion and talent for singing. Lashana grew up in West London and began singing professionally at 13 and her flare for song writing soon followed. In 2001, she was an Urban Voice finalist, in which she narrowly missed out being crowned the winner. Her luck changed in 2006 when she became a UK Unsigned finalist scooping the top prize in her category Singer/Songwriter Pre-Recorded. Lashana’s unique sound is a fusion of several music genres, notably incorporating soul, jazz, reggae and gospel. As of 2007, Lashana is currently working on her debut album, due to be completed by the end of the this year.
Kyza Smirnoff* (Hip-Hop)
Having made his name as a member of Terra Firma, alongside Klashnekoff and Skribblah, laced tracks alongside the likes of Jehst, Tommy Evans, Yungun and Harry Love, popped up on numerous mixtapes and rocked shows the length and the breadth of the country, Kyza finally delivers his long awaited debut LP. ‘The Experience’ is a journey through the mind of the man known as Sayso, and Kyza isn’t afraid to touch on any topic. ‘The Experience’ was highly anticipated everywhere from the streets of Ladbroke Grove to internet forums; the album, was released September 2006 on Pepa Records joined the pantheon of great British rap albums.
Joker Starr (Hip-Hop)
Joker Starr: there isn’t much the talented artist can’t turn his hand to. From performing in New York as part of Jonzi D’s Lyrical Feater, to producing a track on MC Ty’s Mercury nominated album, Joker Starr doesn’t limit himself and certainly isn’t held back by a lack of talent. Creativity, personality, energy and originality: these are terms the young MC bandies about with ease when discussing hip hop music. The distinctive British accent, the narratives set in UK locales, the quality production that permeates every track, the collaborations with Terri Walker and Estelle, the tightness and energy that he brings to stage performances. A potent mixture of talent, vision and dynamism, Joker Starr is ready to add a new facet to Hip Hop music, with a distinctly UK flavour
