About Me
Its sad I had to dumb down to reach the masses and crowds; as my saying goes you can only go as fast as traffic allows words taken from Eddie Clark formally known as Prince Ep. Prince Ep is now referred to as Double E, which is short for Eclectic Entertainment, a company in which he and fellow classmates started while attending Grambling State University (GSU). The name change came as a result of the recognition and exposure received from the highly televised UPN program; Missy Elliot s Road To Stardom.Born in New Orleans, (now based in Atlanta) Double E has always been interested in music. Blessed with an ear for music, at the age of ten, he wrote and produced the theme music for a local YMCA advertisement. Double E started rapping off and on in high school but began to take the craft seriously in 1999 while attending college. In a matter of months, Double E developed a flow strong enough to make many take notice. Realizing there was still a lot to be learned and achieved as a rapper, Double E worked vigorously to perfect his craft learning through influences, friends and self-motivation. Double E credits MC battles as one of the key elements to his unorthodox flow. Battling MC's with many different backgrounds and styles, I made it a point to learn every flow I would encounter and basically beat MC's with their own flows. While admitting that there is always more to learn, Double E still surpasses most of todays industry standards.Throughout his five-year career, Double E has accomplished a lot m
ore than the average unsigned artist. Double E was handpicked by Mona Scott (CEO Violator) to be one the contestants on Missy Elliots Road To Stardom, where he was voted one of the most popular on the show and ended up the last rapper standing. Double E has worked with producers such as Missy Elliot, DJ Toomp, Dallas Austin, and has plans to work with more artists in the near future. Double E has appeared in local and mainstream publications such as The So
urce, Billboard (No. 35 single sales chart), Ozone, Black Beat, Right On, as well as numerous music trade magazines. As the opening act for such prestigious recording artists as Nappy Roots, Nas, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz, Youngbloodz, Jagged Edge, and classic hip-hop artists such as Doug E. Fresh, Whodini, and Greg Nice, Double E is more than ready to hit the stage as a headliner. If you would like to hear more click the link below!:
