Greetings and Welcome to the Youth Revolt! Operation V is a strategic plan designed exclusively for the sake of the next generation. If nothing is done to change the current state of operation in America, the youth of today stand to inherit potentially catastrophic cultural burdens. They will likely fall in the realms of Economics, Ecology, and/or Foreign Relations. Contrary to the movie, this revolution is 100% non-violent. It requires almost no effort. It’s reliant not on action, but collaborative inaction.
Despite the inability to vote, this is your country too. You should have just as much say in its operation. Especially if the way it’s running now jeopardizes the country that you will soon be responsible for. Those in power now have no reason for drastic change. They’ll all be dead by the time these problems fully manifest. The responsibility for change falls directly on the shoulders of the youth for one reason. They have the most to lose if nothing is done. It’s not fair, but unfortunately it’s true.
The good news… This plan is not only incredibly simple, but its success is literally mathematically guaranteed. There’s but one single crucial element necessary for success, and you’re already aware of, and a part of it. Few stop to realize how amazing MySpace is. Sure, people think it’s cool, and many appreciate various aspects. However, nearly all grossly underestimate and fail to see the indescribable magnitude of its power. MySpace is something that has never been seen in the history of the human species. Through this medium, information, thoughts and ideas travel the globe at such blinding speeds it is now possible for millions to think and act as one.
The only thing that must occur amongst the teens of MySpace can be described in one word; UNITY. That many people unified for any cause could accomplish anything. There is no limit to what they could do. Their power lies in economic influence. I could go into great detail here, but for sake of keeping this short, it will all be laid out in a future blog.

So, what’s the plan?
The idea was inspired by the end of V for Vendetta, when everyone stands before Parliament wearing V’s mask. The mask served as a symbol for their unified wills and beliefs. There is no reason the same thing can’t be done right here and now. Fortunately for us, no one has to go anywhere or even physically wear a mask. The power isn’t the mask, but its symbolic representation. On MySpace, your face is your profile picture. From now until the 5th of November we ask that you periodically use the V logo as your default profile picture, and put this profile’s URL as the caption. By doing this you are subtly showing that you are on board with this purpose. It’s that simple. That is the only requisite. However, we can use all the help we can get. This plan will not succeed without a fair amount of support.
Ways you can help
Our biggest obstacle is the monumental task of spreading the word. Anything you could do to raise awareness of this plan would be the best form of supportive assistance. Listed below are a few suggestions, but feel free to get creative.
- Post the logo with a link to this site (myspace.com/operation_v) somewhere on your profile. (Obviously, the more prominent, the better)
- Post blogs/bulletins with related info and links
- Repost our bulletins/blogs
- Post comments on potentially interested friend profiles with supplied html code (coming soon)
- Post topic discussions in relevant groups

I thought we could mark this day by taking time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are, of course, those who do not want us to speak. While the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is… there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn’t there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression, and where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit. You now have censors and surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting submission.
How did this happen? Who’s to blame? Certainly there are those who are more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable.. But again, truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you. If you’ve seen nothing if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest that you allow the 5th of November to pass unmarked… But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek; then I ask you to stand beside me this next November. Together we will stand before the nation and give them a 5th of November that will never, ever, be forgotten!
