Ewan McGregor because he seems like a cool guy to drink with, George Washington because not only did he turn down an opportunity to become king of America, he also stepped down as President after two terms...I don't think any of us could give up such power like he did...also I'd like to meet Luc Besson and Kevin Smith, two of my favorite directors.
I like all sorts of music...except Country, it bothers me for some reason. My fav is Rock(Pop, Power, Alternative, Classic, 80s) Bands like Fountains of Wayne, Superdrag, Sloan, Ok Go, Nada Surf, JET, Journey, Bowling for Soup, The Shins, Postal Service, Pixies, Snow Patrol, Interpol, Yellowcard, Lustra, AC/DC, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Radiohead...that kinda stuff.
What Classic Movie Are You?

HA! Where to begin...well...I am a DVD Aficionado to say the least. I have quite a few for a poor starving college student...I think b/w 250 and 300. Best Buy rocks! As far as types of movies I like...well, anything to be honest. If the plot is good enough to keep my interest I generally like it. My one guilty pleasure however is romantic comedies(NOT chick flicks! While it's true that most romantic comedies are chick flicks, the genre of chick flicks encompasses many more categories than just romantic comedies. So to suggest a person is a fan of chick flicks just because they have a soft spot for romantic comedies is ludicrous!) That said, yeah, romantic comedies. Scary movies are awesome. Another movie goal I had was to make a scary movie that is truely scary...because I don't think I've ever seen one that was "scary". Movies are tense and suspenseful...but not scary. Anyway, at this point I should make a confession...I'm a big fan of Star Wars. I was raised on it by my father so I blame him. But, what's done is done and I will defend the quality of Lucas' films, old and new, until the day I die. Favorite films include the Star Wars Trilogies, the Indiana Jones Triology, Love Actually, Trainspotting, Ususal Suspects, 12 Angry Men, The Burbs, Garden State, Signs, 28 Days Later, Leon, Boondock Saints, Man on Fire, Closer, Aliens, LA Confidential, Brick, Layer Cake, Shaun of the Dead, Superbad, and 10 Things I Hate About You.
I mostly watch movies these days. If I am watching television it's probably ESPN, the News, the Daily Show, or HBO which makes the greatest tv shows these days.

C.D. Payne! That man is a god! I really enjoy two types of books. The first is a quality fantasy series...like the Lord of the Rings or the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. The second is anything that makes me laugh. C.D. Payne wrote this book called Youth and Revolt that is, hands down, the funniest piece of fiction I have ever read in my life! His other books are great too, but none compare to his first masterpiece which, if you enjoy reading at all, go out now and pick it up. I'm not kidding, RIGHT NOW!
I've never had a mentor per se, but there are three people that I respect dearly for different reasons. My mother because she's always had an adventurous and courageous spirit, even now that she's older. My father because he cares about me so much. It's as though his entire existence on this world is to ensure that my brother and I grow up and are safe and secure in our day to day lives. And finally there's my grandfather, the closest thing to a hero I've ever had in my life. It's not so much what he did for me as it is the type of person he was. This man grew up during the Great Depression on a farm in the Dakotas, then joined the Navy and faught in World War II and Korea. The funny thing is every time I would try and ask him about his life and experiences, he'd never talk about the wars, only life as a farmer. He was, and still is, the most modest man I've ever known.
