Natan and Tim met on a dating web site, but soon realized that they didn't particularly like each other. They were both raised in the same orphanage in East Berlin (although they never met because Natan was born in 1972 and Tim was born in 1996, and thus Natan had left the orphanage long before Tim was born), where they were forced to write music for food and water; needless to say, there were many nights of going to bed hungry.
Despite their distaste for one another, they decided to form a band. Natan wanted to express himself through music, whereas Tim only wanted to be in a band to get laid (this has yet to work out). They named the band 2012 because it had been 2,012 days since either of them had a real job.
2012 knows that god is dead, but still hopes to see him make a comeback into relevancy.
