I was going to run to my bookshelf to ramble them all off but I really can't bear to type that much. I love anything by David Sedaris. Sylvia Plath was pretty cool. Mere Christianity (CS Lewis) was amazing. Wally Lamb is one of my all time favorite authors. The Lovely Bones is heartbreaking, as well as Lucky, both by Alice Sebold. Icy Sparks was great, about a girl with tourettes. White Oleander still remains a favorite. I love Stephen King. The House of Sand and Fog was not my favorite. Jewel by Bret Lott was pretty good, for an easy read. Anything by Chuck Pahlanuik is good, my favorite was Choke. Text books are usually kind of fun to read, as long as they have gory pictures. I love medical books, like Phantoms in the Brain. That was amazing. I also semi-enjoyed Darwin : The Indelible Stamp: The Evolution of an Idea. I like White Noise by Don DeLillo, it was not the best book I've ever read like Grant promised but it was good. I love love love Augusten Burroughs. Any of his work is amazing. My favorite was probably Dry. But I loved Running with Scissors and Magical Thinking too. Anne Tyler write pretty much the same story in every book but I've still read most of them. I love Female Chauvinist Pigs, the Rise of Raunch Culture by Ariel Levy. Whether you consider yourself a "feminist" or not, you should read it. It's more a comentary on how todays women have shifted their views on what it means to take control of their bodies and how that affects society, especially the feminist movement. I like to read.
Bette Midler. No explanation. She speaks for herself.
And The Wonder Pets. Quite possibly the cutest, sweetest and funniest show on Nick Jr. Please don't ask why I know this.
And Sarah Silverman. I really think she's like my twin but the Jewish version.
I love DJ Lance Rock and the cast of Yo Gabba Gabba!
