I'm not complicated, but I'm not simple. I'm an open book to those who are literate. I like thinkers, even if you come up with nothing. I'm a procrastinator, but I admire people who get things done. I'm fairly understanding and I tolerate a lot of sh!t, but I snap without warning when burdened. I really can't stand pointless competition, and I don't like it when people think they're hot sh!t. I hate liars, hypocrites, cop haters and pickles. I like those who exercise self-control and self-discipline. I love the Yankees, good beer, Jack Daniels, and inky pens. I don't like political conversations and I avoid them - I'm intimidated by how little I know. I like smart people who are willing to deal with and remedy my ignorance on certain subjects. I love learning new things and sharing what I know.
And most importantly, as I've grown older, my friends have become few in number, but rich in character. Best upgrade I've ever earned.
But I really, really hate pickles.

If you need to get technical, some of the more favored categories include - alternative, blues, classic, hair metal, hard, metal, pop, progressive, punk and soft rock. Iâ€™m not crazy about (in fact, I borderline despise) death metal, psychedelic, or rap rock.

Movies:

KEVIN SMITH. The Boondock Saints, The Crow, Sin City, Braveheart, Fight Club, American History X, True Romance, Trainspotting, Gladiator, Green Street Hooligans, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rent (the only sap movie on this list), SLC Punk, Se7en, The Departed, Natural Born Killers, 300, Fearless, Goonies, Enter the Dragon, The Karate Kid (the first one
the list goes on, much like my music list. there are just too many to name.

Basically - if it has a car chase, blood, crazy drug sequences and/or twisted, witty (or not so witty - i tend to be down with the toliet variety) humor, I'm down. If it has a sappy scene, I'm probably out the door or upset that I wasted my money time on a crap movie.

Television:

Books:

Lots of random shit. Memoirs, poetry and fiction are tops, but i'll read just about anything. Recent faves: The Heroin Diaries (Nikki Sixx), The Things They Carried (Tim O'Brien), and Raymond Carver short stories. I'm a long time fan of Shakespeare, Palahniuk, Bukowski, Rice, some King, some Vonnegut.
