About Me

Opustrees - a dynamic three piece indie/rock band performing emotionally charged songs with anthemic melodies.
Established in kents medway delta (home to Lupen Crook and Billy Childish), opustrees have a wealth of outstanding songs that have received praise in a variety of enthusiastic and positive reviews including the NME, Spill magazine and Braden Merrick (Manager - The Killers) with diverse comparisons being made to established acts including Pavement, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Led Zepplin.
"Brilliant ! Like going out with Richard Ashcroft, smoking crushed up butterflies and talking philosophy with unicorns" - James Jam, NME 2006
Opustrees have recorded their best work to date at their home studio and with producer Jim Riley (Billy Childish/ Buff Medways).
Previous gigs include London's ULU, THe Garage, The Spitz, Bull n'Gate. Legendary Leeds venues The Vine and The Fenton, Newcastle's Green festival, The Head of Steam.Brighton's Pressure point and Sussex University with 'Jonny Quality' (Fat Boy Slim). Tunbridge Wells' Forum with 'Aqualung'.Opustrees have achieved airplay support from XFM's Claire Sturgess, pulseunsigned.com and BBC Radio Kent
