Trying to spread his wings with his music...
Here's some info about Leo D...:-)
From a very young age music has enchanted him...
It all started with him playing in various bands during his high school years, and in the meantime taking classical guitar lessons at The National Greek Music Academy.
At 17 he formed his own group and appeared alongside some top bands in Greece. That was also the year when he began to write his own songs.
In the next couple of years he studied piano and music theory and then embarked on a tour in various clubs in Athens and other Greek cities. In his travels he met prolific Greek composer Thanassis Gaifilias, who was a strong influence in Leo D's next professional steps.
After that he experimented with jazz, playing piano and bass, and then salsa, performing with Rasta de Combre, and later on with members of Apurimac on several occasions.
In the early 90’s he played in Architektoniki rock club in Athens, where he met the Katsimiha brothers and toured with them for two years. He also participated in one of their albums. After that he sang in Stavros tou Notou club also in Athens, and then at Ellopia in Cyprus.
In 1998 he recorded his first album To Skotadi Kaigetai (Darkness is burning) and two years later his second album, Mia Thalassa pou agriepse (A stormy sea).
Since then he have been very busy composing and participating in various albums.
Finally, during this year his new personal album will be released. A new era is about to begin for Leo
