Kati Chase is a small town girl with a big voice. Born in Goldbeach Oregon and raised in Washington State she grew up with one goal and that was to one day become a Country singer and performer. Since the early age of 5 Kati has developed her unique vocal delivery by performing across the United States. Kati’s priorities led her to pursuing a career in country music on a smaller scale until now. “My philosophy has always been to enjoy this career at whatever level the lord allowed, my life now is allowing me the opportunity to see my dreams come true” Kati has become a favorite amongst the rodeo circuit, “performing in front of thousands of people and hearing that response along with the absolute ache for music in my heart has driven me to continue reaching for the stars.”
Kati’s first trip to Nashville back in 1995 proved to be an eye opening experience, “to be honest when I arrived in Nashville alone with my homemade 8x10’s and little cassettes I had no idea what I was up against, I had no reality to obtaining my dream up to this point. I sat in my hotel room for the first three days wondering what the heck I was doing. I figured it was now or never. The trip ended up being the best experience I could have ever hoped for. I pulled myself up by the boot straps and set out to make my presence known, well it didn’t mean anything to those behind each closed door but it meant everything to me. Two days of getting the door slammed in my face which is a great experience actually, makes you hungrier, I ended up backstage at the Grand Ole Opry standing in the wings watching the night unfold with tears in my eyes. Holly Dunn was on that night and I will never forget the encouraging words she had for me as she waited for her name to be announced before she went on. From that moment I knew this was for me.”
Kati is currently writing songs for her CD that will be done in the fall. As each song comes to light Kati wants all of you to be the first to hear it. So stay tuned!
KATI’S MYSPACE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND HER CURRENT PHOTO’S WILL BE UPLOADED IN THE NEAR FUTURE..THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.
Kati Chase Fun Facts:
What is your secret talent? "I can tie two knots in one cherry stem using only my mouth"
What is the craziest or most daring thing you have ever done? Fly Airplanes. Little Cessna's to be exact. At the age of 16 I was flying around the Sky Valley heading towards my solo pilots license. What stopped me you ask? Well, it scared me to death to actually land the plane, and the last I checked that was crucial to flying. I can take off, and I can fly around but I am a maniac when it comes to landing.
What three things do you not want to live without? 1. My Faith 2. Toothbrush and Toothpaste 3. My piano (given to me by my late grandmother)
Who is your hero? My brother. My brother and I have experienced similar circumstances over the past two years that have been life changing. It's the way you come out of the experience that defines just who you are. I am so proud of him and proud of my family. We know now we stick together through it all. No matter what!
What are you most afraid of? Not accomplishing God's plan for me
What's on your IPOD? Jack Johnson, Michael Buble, Amy Grant, Crystal Gayle, Trisha Yearwood,Jessica Andrews, Sawyer Brown, Pam Tillis, Chris Daughtry, Colbie Callet, Angela and Zac Hacker, Faith Hill (so love her) and Tim Mcgraw just to name a few.....

Band Members: “The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle.” –Anais Nin
Influences: AMY GRANT first and foremost!! I just appreciate the heck out of her. A concert of hers in the early 80's set me on a path I haven't abandoned. I may have put things on hold for other responsibilities but have never abandoned the dream! Without knowing her personally she still taught me a valuable lesson...Be true to yourself no matter what!

Krystal Gayle, a woman who is timeless, beautiful and even though had only 10 minutes to board a flight took the time to give a young girl visiting Nashville for the first time some great advice. I was just ending a trip to Nashville and was at the airport a bit early. A man walked up and set a few of his bags down and some of his equipment next to me, I looked up as he asked gently, "Miss, would you mind watching my bags?" I said, not at all. As he turned to walk away a couple sitting across the way said, "Do you know who that is?" I said, "I believe I have seen him before" and they confirmed it was Mr Chet Atkins. When he returned about 20 minutes later he sat next to me and we had the greatest talk. He told me one of the things I need was a good song. He asked me who my influences were and I had mentioned Amy Grant, Anne Murray and Krystal Gayle. He said, "Krystal Gayle huh" and I said "yes, I played and sang along to her albums constantly growing up". He said, "well, have you ever met her?" I said, "no, I never have", he said "would you like to?" I said, "absolutely", he said, "well all you have to do is turn around" I turned around and there she was, standing there with the biggest smile on her face, she gave me a hug and spoke to me for a few moments as Mr Atkins caught her up as to who I was. They both signed a napkin which I have to this day. (Well, a napkin was all we had.) We all boarded the flight, those two in first class and me in coach..:) I was the happiest girl on that flight.

Anne Murray, there is a reason that Elvis Presley thought of her as his favorite female singer, listen to any one of her songs and you will know. Anne Murray has made me strive to be the best I can be.

Trisha Yearwood, I wouldnt even know where to start. I appreciate her effortless vocal ability and completely repsect her journey in this life and what she appears to stand for.

Mark Miller (Sawyer Brown) as if I need to state that..:) I have seen Mark or should I say Sawyer Brown perform more times than I should admitt. Admitting the amount of performances may raise an issue of why there isnt a twelve step program out there for fans like me. So far we are in the clear, there has not been a disorder named for merely enjoying great entertainment. The thing is, he is the most entertaining guy I have seen on stage. A sense of freedom up there that he displayed to all who watched. His voice is absolutely remarkable. There is one guy I hope to do a duet with in my lifetime and that is Mark. I learned long ago that I have to be happy at what ever level I am able to experience a career in country music, the lord is in charge of that and for my own sanity I release that to him, (side note: I do intend on working my butt off to see it happen however so dont get me wrong here!!) what I hope for outside of the dream for me is getting a duet recorded with a guy I admire. I hope to manage that one day!!!
