I'm just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. I took the midnight train going anywhere.Ok, not really. I'm a suburban girl living in San Jose, and when I want to go places, I drive. So what do you really want to know about me? Truth be told, I am on a constant search for beauty and humor in the world, and all the fascinating things in life. I'm an English major who foolishly holds the hope of becoming a writer. I'm also a crazy liberal hoping to "stick it to the man". I love making people laugh and hopefully something on this profile does that for you. My Interests

Almost anything and everything really. Music, books, writing, things that invoke passion (and subsequently, passionate people), art of all kinds, movies, politics, saving the world, traveling, my Celtic heritage, old cars, vintage stuff, decades, baseball (A's), audio visual stuff (I blame my job), good friends, good food, good times, etc etc...

Music:

Frank Sinatra, Rufus Wainwright, Dean Martin, Glenn Miller, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Buddy Holly, Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Credence Clearwater Revival, Rise Against, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, The Living End, Flogging Molly, Tsunami Bomb, Social Distortion, Against Me!, Rancid, REM, Aerosmith, old Green Day, Queen, among sooo many other bands and singers... Generally I love oldies, punk (especially politically charged punk), rock, alternative, some metal, showtunes, tradtional celtic, random 80's music, and nostalgic early 90's pop, and some country. Ok, so I really like a lot of everything, and I really mean a lot of everything! So play me some tunes, and I'll tell you if I like it. Except rap....yeah not so much.

Movies:

Comedy, Action, Thriller, Classic, Romance, Indie, Foreign, you name it. Moulin Rouge, Dogma, Say Anything, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Amelie, Sin City, Army of Darkness, Baseketball, Chicago, Breakfast Club, Pretty Woman, Young Frankenstein, Back to the Future, Pirates of the Carribean, Crash, Singin in the Rain, The Producers (original and remake), Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Edward Scissorhands, Hotel Rwanda, Shaun of the Dead, and a shitload of movies that I can't probably think of right now... Take my word for it, I LOVE movies. I have a list going of the ones I still need to see. I seriously need Netflix like no tomorrow.

Television:

Monty Python, Kids in the Hall, News Radio, Sex and the City, South Park, Scrubs, ANTM, Good Eats (Thanks to Greg)...I rarely watch TV anymore though

Books:

Catcher in the Rye, A Wrinkle in Time (it's a classic), 1984, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, White Oleander, Jane Eyre, Lysistrata, Paradise Lost, although its really hard to pick favorite books...

Heroes:
