The concept of Velvet Concrete was started way back in 1967, when me and my two brothers formed a band in the basement. We were doing copies of songs by Cream, Iron Butterfly, The Stones and others. We didn't have a name for the band to put on the drum set which was what every band did in the 60's so we became Velvet Concrete (soft & hard) like Iron Butterfly.Now that was then and this is now .Velvet concrete is now just me playing all the guitars ,bass and drums (drum machine).I'm doing the mixing ,recording and vocals tracks (I don't sing well ) which I just do to get the words out of my head. over the years I have played in lots of bands. some that played copies of classic rock songs in the bar scene and other bands that played are own songs in the basements and garages .It's all been fun and exciting. but now I'm livin in the country in 5 converted school buses and we;re turning one of the buses into my recording studio.So I will be making more songs more C.D.s .now the concept of time is all that remains
