Josephine is primed to explode onto the Charleston rock scene with their intense yet beautifully constructed approach to Rock n Roll. Their destructive stage presence and speaker-popping recordings will solidify their place in Charleston's hard rock scene for years to come. Josephine had been tearing up local stages all year when, in the summer of 2005, they recorded a sonically enveloping EP with indie rock guru and twenty year production veteran, Eric Medely. Shortly thereafter, Josephine signed with Spectra Records.
Josephine's use of musical contrast plays with your ears and sometimes scares them into submission. Soulfully emotive melodies lead by Ryan's classically trained vocals are elegantly combined with Carl's self-taught and brutally honest Rock n Roll guitaring. Drummer, Dale Mears was a guitarist in the earliest stages of Josephine with bassist Jordan Hume and they provide a foundation of intense, yet soothingly fluid rhythmic lines.
