THE DUNNOS

The Dunnos sind eine aufregende junge Band aus Bremen. Die Entscheidung eine Band zu gründen fiel im Frühjahr 2007. Im Mai 2007 war es dann soweit. The Dunnos wurde zunächst als drei Mannband von Niklas Brüning (Gesang), Niklas Gerwien (Gitarre) und Tim Gerwien (Schlagzeug) gegründet. Anfang 2008, nach erstern kleineren Auftitten, kam ihr jetziger Bassist Justus Wagenfeld in die Gruppe und brachte sich und viele neue Ideen ein. Ihren ersten Auftritt als vollständige Band hatten die vier Jungs im Januar 2009 im Jugendzentrum Friese in Bremen. Dabei entstand auch ihre erste Demo CD. Ihre Songs schreiben sie zum großen Teil selbst, wobei sie von Britischen Bands wie The Libertines, Blood Red Shoes, Wasted Saints und Dogs beeinflusst werden.
Zwei ihrer Songs, nämlich “Knocking at your door” und “Chip on your shoulder” steuerte ihr Songwriter Paul Thomas aus Israel bei. Paul kommt ursprünglich aus London, lebt nun aber seit einigen Jahren mit seiner Frau und zwei Kindern in Israel. Er arbeitet mit Bands aus ganz Europa zusammen und ist ein wichtiger Anlaufpunkt der Band bei wichtigen Fragen.
