Good Leaf

roots:2005 found dub rising from the musically dormant town of Malabon. In the frontline stands Goodleaf. Initially composed of WickedBassMan Ian, Dub controls/melodica/vocalist Edy, arid Drumbeat Paulo, Keyboardist Jolly, and Felix on percussion. The group is now rounded off with the additional ambient guitar parts of Jonas and the percussion bangings of Bobby Dubby.
Goodleaf plays mainly dub music with the characteristics of roots and conscious reggae, combined with crucial lyrics, electronica, and a downtempo sound. Performances include the Annual Fete dela Musiqe Festival, Backdoor Ventures' Annual Arts & Music Festival, 2006 UP Mountaineers Anniversary, 2006 UP Fine Arts Exhibit, '06-'07 Bantayog Festival Surfing Competiton, Daet, Camarines Norte and the 1st Manila Reggae Summit, Palacio de Maynila '07.
Dub is to one. To succeed in their mission and spread the good vibes of roots dub - a medicine for those not satisfied with the stagnant world of popular music.
Only a chosen few can recognize this musical divergence, but in the long run, nobody is immune to the infectious groove of Goodleaf.
