Band Bio:
All the way from the city by the Bay - Kiko, Phishbone, J-Nut, and Johnte are the R&B quartet known as IF. Their inner city upbringing blatantly influences their street savvy sound. Through their music, IF not only proves themselves worthy of being labeled vocalists, but also lyricists as they bleed honesty, emotion and real-life experience onto the canvas - but at all times entertaining the soul.
Since their humble beginnings in the fall of '92 the members of IF have always stayed true to their roots. Musically driven since childhood, each member of IF has always been inspired by soul music in its purest of forms...from church spirituals to the soulful crooners of today. Although half of the group now lives away from the city - San Francisco has always been home. Growing up in the streets of Frisco from the Excelsior District, Bayview Hunters Point, Visitacion Valley, all the way to the Downtown area, these 4 talented young men have been exposed to this culturally and musically diverse melting pot since an early age. It has truly been a blessing for each one to grow up being able to appreciate all types of people and music.
