Let The Music Set You Free" ..

About Me

If you don't love Music...You don't want to be my Friend. I have loved music ever since I was little guy. If you are, or become my friend, I welcome you to my world of music, which I will share with you on a regular basis. I change my profile song list regularly and post bulletins and blogs which almost always contain a song...Enjoy. I am 59 years old, but I am often told that I don't look my age, and I certainly don't act my age. I am on myspace to tell my story to the world and to meet new people. I have a 24 year old son (Bobby Jr.) who I love dearly. I am Mexican-American and very proud of my Heritage. One of my biggest reqrets is that I do not speak fluent spanish, but that is story all by itself. I was born in Denver, Colorado, but grew up in San Francisco, which in my opinion is the most beautiful city in the world. I grew up in the Mission District and was lucky to go to Mission High School at the time I did. I was one class behind Carlos Santana and in the same class with members of Malo (Jorge Santana & Richard Bean), Azteca and Sapo. Their bands played at school dances and at the Mission Y, then the Nite Life nightclub. which was where everyone went on Friday Nights to dance their asses off. Carlos had a trio in the early sixties and they played at my brothers wedding in 1965. You can only imagine how proud we were when their first album came out.........Growing up in the Bay Area during the '60's and 70's was the experience of a life time. There were the free concerts at the Golden Gate Park Panhandle, Fillmore, Fillmore West, Winterland and Avalon Ballroom. Amidst all of the sex, drugs and rock and roll, we were able to experience an era that set some of the standards and ideals that we still live by today. Little did we know...... gt;

Movies:

I owe most of my love for movies to my father. He taught me the value of an actor, the story and quality of filming. His Idol was John Wayne. He died without seeing movies such as Tombstone, Gladiator, Braveheart and many, many more. He really would have loved them. Godfather Trilogy, Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Good Fellows, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Apocolypto, 300, Titanic, Wizard of Oz, The Searchers, Shawshank Redemption, Tombstone.. ..

Television:

The best sitcom of all time, Jerry Seinfeld - "The Show About Nothing". I probably watch more TV than I should. Ocassionly I will purposely watch commercial TV so that I can get up during commercials to get something done.

Books:

Aztec Trilogy, The Stand, Lord of The Rings Trilogy, Stranger in a Strange Land, Grapes of Wrath, Roots and many, many more.

Heroes:

Mom and Dad--With the Angels... > .....My Son Bobby and my Beautiful Niece Dara ...</a
