About Me

Elements and molecules are created from the explosions of stars as they supernova. The habits of chemistry and physics often produce many different forms of matter and some combined to make a planet, called Earth by one of its current inhabitants. Eventually, on the planet Earth, the habits of chemistry and physics produced a single celled organism. Multicellular organisms appeared some time later and evolved into many different forms. Out of all of the different forms of organisms that have ever existed, only 1% of them are currently alive because the conditions on Earth are constantly changing. Every organism will go extinct and be replaced by a new version that can handle the current conditions better. One type of these organisms currently awaiting its disappearance calls itself Homo sapien. I am one of these Homo sapiens and was named Peter by the ones who conceived me. To live, I have to consume nuclear energy created by my closest star, which has been named the Sun. This energy is harnessed by other organisms on my planet, which I eat. When I die, my body will break down into basic individual elements and molecules again as the natural cycle continues and repeats itself. Only then will I find out if there is more to this story than I currently know.

My Interests

natural sciences, travel, arts, music, interdependent origination, the outdoors, growing things, fermenting things, playing on the playground, watching storms, cooking, entheogens, climbing trees, bones, evolution, and experiencing the simple pleasures that come with being alive.

I'd like to meet:

YOU, if I don't know you.

Music:

Some current favorites are: Portishead, Hooverphonic, A Perfect Circle, Sublime, Tool, anything with Les Claypool, Marilyn Manson, White Zombie, PinkFloyd, The Doors, Bitter:Sweet, Universal Hall Pass, The Bird and the Bee, Hendrix, Led Zepplin, NIN, Baby Ann, Keoki, Daft Punk, Orb, The Residents, Gorillaz, Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, Big Black, Dead Can Dance, Cake, Beck, Most industrial stuff is very cool! Anything weird, unique, trance like or ambient is always acceptable. PJ Harvey, Bjork, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star. I can listen to anything as long as it's none of that overplayed radio crap! I'm kinda obsessed with 91.5fm and 810am right now, in a week you can hear more great music there than you can in a whole year on other commercial stations!

Television:

Cartoons!

Books:

Collaspse by Jared Diamond, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Botany of Desire and The Omnivore's Dilemma by Micheal Pollen, Anything by Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allen Poe, or Neil Gaimen, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, I'll keep adding more as I remember them...

Heroes:

People throughout history to the present who were/are criticized and punished for their different beliefs. Isn't it funny how the ones who question the status quo are often proved correct later on?

The Minivans are Breeding...

The Minivans must be breeding, I know 'cause I see them everywhere. They must only meet up for sex, since I rarely see them together as a pair.   They come in different sizes, colors and even dif...

the web

Among the cattails and the grasses, you'll find the ants moving in their single file masses.   And glance above to see, the bats and the bees. They fly fast on by, as if the sweet necta...

past, present and future collide

The future's not here, yet it gets in the way. Thoughts of what might be, but what of today? Tension and stress about things uncertain, threaten time spent now, with that "special person". A recurring...
