Hip Hop Congress is an international not for profit organization that uses the culture and elements of hip hop as a way to keep people involved in their local communities, think globally, allow self expression, and create a network to allow all these things to happen!! There is a website www.hiphopcongress.com that is used as a basis for the network and a communication tool. We really are intertwined into all four elements of Hip Hop culture, as well as politics and education. Currently there are over 25 active chapters of Hip Hop Congress.
This body of people are working together to bring back the positive impacts of hip hop into our community. The Baltimore Chapter has three main goals: A) Integrating hip hop and debate, B) Creating a link between hip hop and education and C) Providing a positive environment for up and coming artists. We are looking to network with every hip hoppa around the country and world and push this movement. Please contact me about information concerning this chapter...there are many people against us, but together we can reign. Please don't listen to the hype, there will be plenty of rumors, but believe we have a goal...that we will reach.
