John and Tuc began working together 1999 after meeting at a party. The first move was to book gigs DJing at some pubs, clubs, apartments, beaches and fields. At that time the scene was really healthy in Ireland thanks to that big old Celtic Tiger and the lack of a public order act. After a lengthy search for a club to inhabit, they eventually found a great room at the now defunct Moll Gogins bar & club at Youghal Co. Cork. The club night was to be called “Fresh” and that it was. While John and Tuc played the main room the chill bar was always looked after by Hatz (aka Warren Tivy). The property soon changed hands and with that the business model, leaving “Fresh” homeless. Another local venue was taking its last breath when the guys saw the opening and took over the Friday night for a further 6 months. This was to be the end of the “Fresh” club night. Now in 2007 the boys are back together producing their music for the clubbers of today but with the spirit of what’s come before.
