Ron Paul’s Announcement of the CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY
Remembering Ron Paul 2008 from Campaign for Liberty on Vimeo .

Music:

ARCADE FIRE, PIXIES especially Dolittle and Surfer Rosa, Modest Mouse, Okkerville River, The Beatles, The Wrens, The White Stripes, Cold Play, The Sex Pistols, Nirvana, Beck... you know Beck is called "a generation's consolation prize after the death of Kurt Cobain." Chronologically, it's an apt assessment: Cobain killed himself on April 5, 1994; "Loser" peaked at #10 on the Billboard charts three weeks later. But back in the mid-90s, Beck was practically Cobain's polar opposite. Whereas Kurt exuded raw power with every phlegm-spewing roar, Beck rapped in monotone (when he wasn't crooning like a sleep-deprived folkie). Kurt hunched and staggered; Beck pranced, did splits, and mimicked robots. Kurt raged against a doomed world with a vitriolic mix of anger and sincerity; Beck took the piss out of a doomed world with a mix of irony and showmanship. Admittedly, they were both known to wear flannel shirts from time to time....what else, aah, The Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, The Flaming Lips, Mission of Burma, Velvet Underground, ..and you will know us by the trail of dead, AC Newman, Andrew Bird, Architecture in Helsinki, The Beach Boys, yes I like the Beach Boys and I'm not gay, but I like the cool albums like SMILE and Pet Sounds...let me retract SMILE...not as cool as I initially thought, but that Vegetables song is cool in a happily retarded way, Belle & Sebastian, Bloc Party, Blur, Bob Dylan, The Clash, David Bowie!!, The Who, Weezer, Unicorns, Television, T. Rex, Super Furry Animals, Sublime, The Strokes, STP, Sonic Youth, Spoon, Stephen Malkmus, Sleater-Kinney, The Rolling Stones, Pulp, Pink Floyd, Pixies...shite, did I repeat any?? ahh, whatever, I'll keep going...Pavement, Nine Inch Nails, Neutral Milk Hotel, My Morning Jacket, My Bloody Valentine, The Shins, Ramones, The Kinks, the Killers, John Lennon, Joanna Newsom, INterpol, The Futureheads, The FAll, Elliott Smith, Exploding Hearts, Doors, Deftones, Decemberists, Constantines, Dresden Dolls, Animal Collective, Wolf Parade!, 12 Rods, Neil Young, Devotchka, My Morning Jacket, New Pornographers, Kings of Leon, Team Sleep, Blur, Fiery Furnaces, Stars, Wilderness, Bob Marley, Breeders, Dungen, Go! Team, The Cureummm, and let me end with the Beatles since I like them a lot...and there are more but I'll try to fill in later...BEHOLD THE MIGHTY NACHO LIBRE

Movies:

I dig the flicks mucho and amongst my favs are anything Darren Aronofsky..."THE FOUNTAIN!!, Kubrick, Contempt, Breathless, Alphaville, A Woman is A Woman, Masculin Feminin, Godard Godard Godard Godard, Shindlers List, Scorsese is silly good, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, MEAN STREETS...my fav of his, Goonies, Princess Bride, Fellini, Harold Llyod, Buster Keaton, Paul Thomas Anderson is also a stellar filmmaker, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Punch Drunk Love, THERE WILL BE BLOOD!!! and also the lesser known Sydney, Wes Andersons another great contemporary, he's the proverbial shit, The Royal Tennenbaums, Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, fun movies, The Monty Python movies are also hilarious, The big Lebowski is one of my fav's. so is This is Spinal Tap, I could go on all day, but we shall leave this for whence I am bored again...ta-ta.

Television:

I dig comedy shows and a few others that have this stigma for being lame like "Survivor", yeah, I know...not cool, got it, whatever, I think that shows an exciting real drama that truly gets to the core of who we are as humans and how we function as a society, it's like a microchosim of our society, it tests you in ways that reveal who you really are, how much integrity you have, will power, cunning, courage, compassion, common sense, etc...thats my pitch for Survivor. DEXTER on Showtime is simply tittilating! Ok so some of my very favorites are Mr. Show, The Kids in the Hall, The Office (UK version), The Colbert Report, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, Curb Your Enthusiasm, the Tenatious D episodes that were on HBO were hilarious...ummm, I know Im missing some...oh yeah Ali G...thats it for now....again I shall fill the void L8R...toodaloo.

Books:

playboy, hustler, maxim...oh those are magazines aren't they....pent house, farm holes, Trannys on a Train... actually I think that one's a book.....I loved the book A Confederacy of Dunces, Blindness by Jose Saramago as well as O Homem Duplicado, All the Names, The Cave, Hegemony or Survival by Chomsky, The Late Great USA by Jerome Corsi, The Stranger by Camus, The Movie Goer by Walker Percy, SlaughterHouse Five by my man Kurt Vonnegut is complete random existentialist hilarity, Amy Goodmans the Exception to the Rulers, The Catcher in the Rye, House of Bush House of Saud by Craig Unger, Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, Animal farm, 1984, The Universe in a Nutshell, All My Friends are going to be strangers by Larry McMurtry, anything by Chuck Palahniuk is also great, Diary, Invisible Monsters, Survivor, Choke, Lullaby, Fight Club, Michael Crichton makes much better books than movies although Jurassic Park was great but Sphere blew and thats an even better book than Jurassic Park in my opinion, James Joyces A Portrait of an artist as a man

Heroes:

only one . . . John Holmes . . . he's got me by an inch the fucker.
