Deana Avarie

Born and raised in New Jersey, Deana Avarie spent most of her childhood moments on stage. She began her long journey to entering upon the music industry at seventeen. Idolizing the multi-talented musicians in her family she shortly began to play acoustic guitar and piano.Her father handed over his Fender Stratocaster and taught her to play. Six years later, Deana Avarie is showcasing her unique and young talent in New Jersey, New York City and singing the National Anthem for the Newark Bears.At eighteen, she was frequently performing on local stages with the jazz/cover band the Funk Express. Eric Funk, lead guitar player, further fueled her love for music and performance as well as understanding the roots of all music. “With the opportunity to sing all genres of music, especially jazz, I began to find my true love of all types of music.”By age twenty she was given the opportunity to perform regularly at Iguana in New York City, showcasing her original work. Deana wrote her first song at eighteen and her first recording of her song when she was twenty-one. With the recording of her songs she began diversifying her music, which landed her a featured spot in Polusa Night Club in Roselle Park, NJ. This night club spot landed her radio promotions of her song “In Your Eyes” on Z100 and KTU as well as advertisement in Steppin Out Magazine.Deana Avarie possess such talent in that she can sing the sultry, seductive blues and then easily switch it up to the up-tempo rock/pop chick making a fresh, unique sound. Take six years of original composition, memorizing lyrics and soulful vocals and you get a singer/songwriter that is NOT to be missed!For 2008, Deana will be performing with Monte and The All Stars with their new 70’s night all over New Jersey.
