Gil Batera

Was born in Petrópolis (1973), he started his classes of drums at 14 years-old with Rui Mota, and piano with Maestro Victor Santos.Started to play with his parents at Sônia & Almyr’s band playing in many places around Brazil for almost 4 years, being later requested for other bands, such as “Orchestra Musical Victor Santos” and “Tips Band”.Actually living in Portugal where has shared the stage with renamed musicians of Jazz and Latin jazz, playing in many countries around the Europe as Germany, Spain, Belgium…Portugal:”Hot Five Porto” “B-Flat Porto”, “Casino da Figueira”, “Casino da Póvoa”, “Serv´Artes Gallery”, “Meliá Hotel”, “Ipanema Hotel”, “Sheraton Porto”, “Mercure Hotel”, “Festival of Blues (Gaia)”, with Jonny Blues Band).Gernany: “Schlot jazz”, “Jazz im Dock”, “SteelWerk Jazz Club” Spain: “Manteca Jazz” Belgium: “Jacques Pelzer Jazz Club”Since 2005 with Samuel Quinto has been dedicated to the “Latin jazz”
