About Me

I’ve been singing since I was six.
Somewhere around that age I also made my first demo. I tried to make my mom send it to Whitney Houston (that’s the pre-crack Whitney, before she went bananas). My mom didn’t send it, and I still have the tape. (And no I’m not posting it on my page!)
I make my music in a small room in Brooklyn, New York. I make it all on my computer, write everything, sing everything, and play everything. Take that, male dominated society!
I like cereal. A lot.
I love pawnshop windows and antique stores. All of the old forgotten objects, the strange dusty smell, the creaky floorboards. Once I found a doll sitting alone in a corner next to some pots and pans. I sat down next to her. It was nice.
People say I look like a little doll.
I dream a lot. Sometimes, it’s hard to tell the difference between my dreams and reality. Sometimes, I don’t want to.
I love old silent and black-and-white movies. I want life to be like Buster Keaton’s One Week.
I’m not afraid to say what I mean.
I like people who are honest and say what they mean too. I like smart people, nerds, and people who love what they do. I love people who make their own way, and dreamers of all sorts.
I love meeting new people. Please say hi.
Everything in my life is completely disorganized. Except my songs. I’m often digging through a pile of clothes.
I love cats. It wouldn’t matter if I was about to win an olympic medal, I would involuntarily give it up to chase after a cat.
I want to make a beautiful dreamland, for it to be like a child looking at a picture book on the rooftop of a city blanketed in snow. Maybe there’s a couple below who just came from a dark movie theater? Maybe the street is suddenly empty of cars, one of those odd moments that seems almost planned, and it’s strangely silent and you’re wondering if this is what death is like, like time had suddenly stopped, and people come to their windows, and then a slight breeze lifts a broken black umbrella, and then a meteor falls, and it’s all over?
I’m trying to make it alone in the music world. I think music needs some fixin’, and I need your help. Don’t get me started on this subject, I can go for hours.
Please support me by buying my songs. I’ll do everything I can for you.
I want Tom Waits to make me omelets.
If I fall in love, I will trip and fall in love.
I love my fans and will never forget what you’ve done for me.
