Formed in the summer of 2005 The Future Unwritten immediately began playing shows in and around Delaware. Their high-energy stage show and bombastic sound was an instant hit with audiences and they soon had a loyal following. After playing out and practicing for 6 months, The Future Unwritten decided it was time to record. They were soon in the studio recording their unique brand of Rock music. They would eventually release the efforts of that recording in late 2005. The CD entitled We Have Our Moments sold well at shows and through the online distributor CDbaby. The CD sold so well that a second pressing was required in a matter of months. In August of 2006 they put their efforts to work at the acclaimed Milkboy Studios in Ardmore, PA. Under the supervision of producer Tommy Joyner, known for his work with The Dixie Hummingbirds, Ashanti, and Townhall, The Future Unwritten had finally captured their increasingly more sophisticated sound on record. The new EP entitled Extended Play has garnered praise from fans and music press alike. Most recently, The Future Unwritten has been exploiting the success of their EP, to expand their market by playing gigs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as well as gaining air-play on several major radio stations. In March of 2007 Extended Play was voted "Best Rock EP of The Year" by the fans and staff of the mainstream radio station, 93.7 WSTW. More success followed as the band won The Grand School of Music’s Musikarmageddon in May of 2007, a battle of the bands that featured the areas premiere talent. The Future Unwritten has been playing to increasingly larger and more appreciative crowds at acclaimed venues such as The Khyber and The Northstar Bar in Philadelphia and Arlene’s Grocery and the Lit Lounge in New York City.
