I only did it once... but I did a DAMN good job!

About Me

I Love what I do... and I am not just talking about work. But to start there - I am a naturopathic doctor and mainly work with people living with HIV/AIDS. Recently I started my own non-for profit organization - click on the Positively Beautiful link - basically a major part of the reason I can get little to no sleep and still, drink heart stopping amounts of coffee, and be ready to go again.Personally? I try to be honest to the point nobody else can try and do it for me. I enjoy seeing how people digest the absolute truth. Maybe because it took me this long to do it. I like to be many different things - and perhaps because I get board easily. I like to be a girl - but enjoy wearing Dior with my Dickes. I find it amusing nobody knows my race, age or sexual orientation - the only thing more amusing is that people care.I love diversity in my friends, food, and fashion... and in addition to the tight local community is one of the reasons I love Tucson. End of story.

My Interests

Fighting against HIV/AIDS, Positively Beautiful, good food, cooking, music, Tucson, making movies, supporting/being the underdog and people with great ideas that are going to change the world - being an advocate to shake things up -Good Food - have to say it again - I like it all: expensive sushi (not the ghetto ass white people version that is deep fried), drive through burritos late night, huge steaks, long fancy dinners out and Lindy's and the Surly Wench when it is too late and to hot to cook. I LOVE M-A-C cosmetics - they strongly support HIV/AIDS and a top quality. I just started to have fun with Make Up and being a little girly... Their artists are amazing in both talent and spirit.Vintage shopping... I can't handle malls and chain stores -Plus this is pretty cool My dog Hueco is my girl... and been by my side through good times, bad times, horrific times and times more wonderful that words can describe.

I'd like to meet:

Just be honest... the rest works itself out...I am here to meet cool people that preferably don't mind stirring political waters to make a difference.

Music:

I pretty much like any music that make me think and/or I can dance to. I can't seem to do both at the same time. Well sometimes.I never Dance to Dylan - but always listenCheck out this video: Haystak - All By Myself

Movies:

Again - pretty much everything - sappy chick flicks (from the 80's and early 90's even better), ... documentaries, thrillers, suspense films, stupid chop them up movies, some sci-fi, comedies....

Television:

Don't have a TV - doesn't mean I am a 'kill you television" girl.... a flat panel, flat screen plasma with surround sound - sounds nice.

Books:

Finally reading again... get back to you

Heroes:

My Mom - She is the hottest 60+ year old woman (maybe Sophia Lauren comes close) - and is the one person in the world I know will always be there. My Dad who died too young - but I still become more and more like each day - strong willed and stuck strongly to his beliefsMy patients who live with HIV/AIDSAnyone going against the mainstream for what they believe in - even if I don't agree with them

My Blog

World AIDS Day - I am actually Serious

So typically I am pretty laid back, slightly sarcastic and some may even say "spunky" - and those of you that understand the "spunky" pun - thanks for giving a shit to read the World AIDS Day article ...
