About Me

I have interviewed Fela Kuti, The Last Poets and Roy Ayers and contributed to publications both here and in the US including Soul Underground, Straight No Chaser, Spare Rib, Socialist Review and the award-winning Left-Turn.I am a songwriter and poet. Past performances have included: The Black and Asian Film Festival, launch of E.R.A.S.E Ending Reliance and Supporting Empowerment, Organic and I am a stalwart artist at INSPIRE. My work is about being honest and expressing my feelings about a world turned upside down by Capatalism. Despite the inequality and corruption there is immense love and beauty. My aim is to capture all the contradictions of the short trip we call life in glorious detail. If I light the fuse of creativity in anybody I feel honoured. I am a revolutionary and believe in using words and music for agitation and propaganda purposes. Also music and lyrics are my method of engaging and understanding myself.I have a catalogue of songs and am always on the look-out for enlightened collaborators. If you share my vision, have an adventurous taste in music, get excited by challenging lyrics and endeavour to be inclusive in your behaviour, welcome to my world.I'm on the look-out for producers, musicians and rappers who are prepared to work through the changes musical artistic expression can bring. If this sounds like you, step up.One Love Adeola
