CLUB UPDATES. . . . . We hope that 2008 has started off on a good note for you and your family! As the weather has started to cool and settle us in for a ong winter’s nap, there are those that are getting ready to gear up for another successful cruisin’ season. We are beginning to make plans for club events and car shows. As always, if you have ideas and suggestions for the club and its members, we would love to hear from you. KEEP CRUISIN' . . . . . . Cruise nights will be starting up on Saturday, April 5th. The cruise-ins will usually be scheduled for the first and third Saturdays of every month from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Denton Plaza. There will be times when the schedule will be adjusted due to previously scheduled events & holidays. . . . . . .
Duirng the 2008 season we are hoping to expand our horizons a bit and travel to other area clubs cruise nights. We will be scheduling a date & time to visit the Del Rods up at Greentree Shopping Center on Route 8- West Dover, DE. Plans also include a special 50's themed cruise night to Lost in the 50's in Glen Burnie. Lost in the Fifties will be moving their cruise-ins from the shopping center up near the Glen Burnie MVA to Marley Station Mall (Front Lot) Their cruise - ins run from April to October from 6pm to 10 pm. We will keep you posted of events, times and places as they are learned. . . . . . . .
The Caroline Cruizers want you!!!! We will be participating in the Adopt-A-Highway program in which volunteer groups will pick-up litter along non-interstate roadways four times a year for a two-year time period. The Caroline Cruizers have adopted Greenwood Rd between Route 404 & MacDonald Rd. If interested in being a volunteer please contact Jan McMichael at [email protected]. We are looking for at least twenty (20) volunteers to help throughout the course of the two year period. Remember that in this service to our community, we will also reap the rewards. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Service to our community is just one of the ways that the members of the Caroline Cruizers can show their pride. On Saturday, July 19th we will be sponsoring "Christmas in July - Toy Run & Cruise Night" to benefit Neighbors in Need of Caroline County. We will be hosting our normal cruise-in at Denton Plaza but we will have a different spin on the night. Donations of new unwrapped toys, new clothes for both children & adults, as well as monetary donations will be the focus of the evening. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 participants making their donation. We will have music, 50/50 raffle, and maybe even a visit from Santa. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Mark your calendars now and plan on coming out for the evening and supporting our community. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact [email protected]. We will need volunteers to canvas local business for sponsorship & donations; to post flyers in the local area to advertise the event; help with receiving donations & passing out dash plaques; selling 50/50 tickets; and other miscellaneous tasks.

In the very near future we will be looking for volunteers at different events for set up and break down, volunteers to assist with registration, 50/50’s and Chinese Auctions, photographers, dee-jays to provide music and play MC to the event, bakers to help us provide sweet treats for the Cake Wheel, game hosts, etc. Please begin thinking about how your time and talents can help towards the success of the Caroline Cruizers. Remember that we are a dues-free club at this time, and your contribution of talent, time, or money is greatly appreciated.
