Janglebox & the Rozzers

Previously known (or not known) as Wilfred, Jangle Box and The Rozzers were formed by Nick 'Wakey' Wakefield (The Hip Priest) & Neil Dawson (Wilf) in a Manchester bar. Then came Stubbs. He's such a loon. In 2006, the three Rozzers spent the first few months together coaxing electro sounds, samples and beats out of the elusive Janglebox. They set out to combine their varied influences and write animated songs with a social conscience. Unlike too many other bands who pigeonhole themsleves, the Rozzers exist with a belief that you don't need to stick to one genre or style in order to have a clear idea of where you are going, where you came from or where you belong. After a slow yet productive start, one of the Rozzers took off around the world in search of new ideas. His recent return has seen Janglebox and the Rozzers re-ignite. With a number of gigs around their home town imminent, their blend of energetic guitars and electro nonsense will soon have people dancing where they never dared dance before. Please excuse the state of our amateur recordings. We don't have much money, and have to record in Nick's lizard room using his snakes Moz adn TJ for microphones. For the beats we generally use 2 chuppa chup sticks and bang them against various catalogues and Stubbs' head. Yellow pages makes an ace snare sound, as does Stubbs' chin. Fuck knows when our website will be up to date as Stubbs is a lazy bastard
