Almost everything.
Musicians that like to play inspired, heavy, mid-tempo music. I tend to favor music that has a more aggressive edge. I tend to like music that has distinct rhythmic patterns accompanied by interesting and dynamic melodies and tones. In my opinion, music does not have to be structured according to present day industry standards if the song does not dictate it. I prefer bands that keep the integrity of their songwriting to themselves as much as possible. For example...nobody used to chastise Metallica or Iron Maiden for having songs that were 9 minutes long. I love "rock opera" as long as it is done with class.
