Neo Soul Explosion is a venture created by CornerStone Marketing. For four years, Roni Jackson and Cheri Pettiford, Co-founders of CornerStone Marketing have been delivering the hottest new faces in the music industry to the Chicago night scene. This event is, by far, the most talked about event of the summer and it's growing every year. Each Friday night you experience a relaxing, yet entertaining environment filled with good souls and good spirits. Its definitely a party no one should miss!
The Neo Soul Explosion was launched in 2002 and has introduced chart topping recording artists such as Kanye West, John Legend, Van Hunt, Ledisi and Kem Khemistry. Thats right! Before you saw them on MTV and BET, they graced the stages of the Neo Soul Explosion. This event allows emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their talents and connect with their fans on a more personal level.
This is not just a musical concert; this is an occasion with festivities that include comedy, poetry, dancing, conversation and music. The Neo Soul Explosion brings the arts and music to the community in a dynamic way. Everyone leaves satisfied.

The Neo Soul Explosion Concert Series has come to an end. However one of its founding organizers is keeping it fresh and working with a team to keep bringing Chicago high quality events.

So far Eric Roberson, Little Brother, Dwele, Slum Village, Common, Doug E. Fresh, Amel Larrieux, Miri Ben-Ari have sizzled at the first 3 shows.
